Sports injuries

Injuries related to sports are most of the time located at a joint that is used a lot during a specific type of sports. We are going to look for the link within the muscle-skeletal chain that is responsible for the injury.

When the body is well aligned, there is no reason for having repeated injury. But a loss of movement in a certain joint will eventually lead to a compensation and subsequently create an mechanical overload in an other joint.

A calf strain is most  likely to be related to a reduced dorsal flexion of the foot, while unilateral cramps in the calf muscle is more related to a reduced plantar flexion.
